- Mach3 Circles - weird behavior
Hello everybody, relative newbie here, just getting my plasma table going but I'm having a weird problem cutting circles Here are some bullet points that hopefully show my problem, and what works and what doesn't:
- Trouble cutting circles with mach3 - cnczone. com
Like Gerry said, don't plunge your cutter straight in Ramp it in to the cut at a low angle, like 5 to 10 degrees Do this while you're going around the circle
- CNC Shaping Circle Out of Round - Practical Machinist
Certain parts of the ring are being shaped while the cutter isn’t making contact with other parts of the ring causing it to be out of round Any ideas on troubleshooting this issue?
- School Me - Cnc Circle Cutting Test. Mach3, Amoebas For Circles.
The Mach3 backlash compensation does not work at all when cutting, only when making a position move, so there is a good chance that that is a problem I would start with the CAM program and make sure that it is creating a G2 or a G3 command rather converting circles to line segments
- Circles are not round - machsupport. com
These Semicircles are not round when milling The router is milling two ellipses for each semicircle instead, and of of course the milling Path stopp´s at the end of the first one, then starts to mill the second one and finally stops again were it has started
- Problem School me - CNC Circle cutting test. Mach3, Amoebas for circles.
Mach3, Amoeba's for circles I use telescoping bore gauge with micrometer once you have a good repeatable method can hit a few tenths, and then I always verify with an inside mic or inside bore gauge
- Hi guys , im doing some plasma cutting test with mach3 and it . . . - Reddit
If the software and the hardware aren‘t tuned properly, or if your feed is high, this can lead to some weird shapes, like your circles and squares On our machine (a 4axis CNC mill) we can just turn it off in the options, when we need to cut that exact path

I am running into a problem where I can not find a likeable solution If I have some g-code that cuts a circle it cuts it real sloppy (out of shape), I have been able to make them perfect by slowing down the feedrate
