As one of the 20 kitsu users, yes it's been dead for years It's only a very small circle of people that still use it But yknow, it's kinda cool when you know basically every user on the site

I used to use Kitsu but every site revision seems to push the social aspect of it more and more, and it's become increasingly image- and load-on-demand-heavy, both of which hinder usability I don't want an anime facebook, I just want a database (MAL) or a list (AniList) that works

It's like Kitsu wants to be a social media platform first and a database second, and its overreliance on image-heavy and load-on-demand formats makes navigation more of a chore than it should be
