It won't help the mystery but I've seen that switch before Several of the NC's (Yako, China (Taiwan) have had those switches I’ve got a loaded pickguard from an old Memphis Strat-like object: same big switch and metal-base singlecoils

I picked this up last night, serial number YN6 so 1996 Yako built I believe The guy I bought it from said he got it brand new with the intention of learning to play but only used it a couple of times before sticking it in a cupboard where it had lived ever since Couple of dings and knocks

I guess the Yako factory does better setups than Cort in Indonesia or even Corona or Ensanada does (or maybe I just got lucky), but the 12" radius may account for some of that too And, my Bullet Teles seem to bend a little easier than my Strats too It seems like you gotta work a little harder on a Strat

HNGD! Great find 'YN's are harder to find than 'NC's Still, Yako made (hence the Y ) so you're still cooking with gas Color me odd, but I really get into the 'NC' , 'YN' Squier's To the extent that I watch them and look for them virtually exclusively There are ton's of beautiful Squier's, so you have to find a limiting factor somewhere

Kinda cool! The pickups are pretty “crispy”, way more than my Yako strat I sold The neck is really nice Chunkier than my MIJs But feels good! First Fender purchase ever!
