I can understand the negative perspective of Kyoshi, only if you look at that one scene by itself, within a vacuum and don't consider the duties and responsibilities of the Avatar within the world that have been implied and explicitly stated throughout the entirety of the animated show

Kyoshi the avatar loves Rangi, Kyoshi the servant loved Yun If Yun had been the real avatar, she would have been to blinded by her crush to realize that Rangi could be a potential partner, so Yun had to be taken by father gloworm for Kyoshi and Rangi to end up together In an alternative timeline, Kyoshi would have ended up with Yun Reply reply

Like the Kyoshi novels, two 300 page books about Yangchen leaves a lot of unanswered questions about her life and story But I really appreciate Yangchen and I hope we get to learn more about her, either in more novels or maybe something animated? Anyways, this duology is a must-read for all hardcore Avatar fans F C Yee did a fantastic job
