The kyphoplasty was done by a radiologist I live in southern NH and he is considered to be the expert in it I see no downside to having it, except it may not be covered by your insurance If you are on Medicare I believe it is covered, but at that time I was on regular insurance and despite getting it pre-approved they then turned the claim down!

Yes, I had one 5yrs ago due to a fracture to my L5 I had tenderness to site for about 24hrs I definitely recommend ice packs for 1st 24hrs After that, very minimal tenderness A fractured vertebrae is very painful, as you know The kyphoplasty stopped the pain And recovery was short

If u choose a procedure, I personally favor kyphoplasty over vertebralplasty as it restores the bone mass, so lesser chance of a “hunched” back My grandmother had a compression fracture that was very disabling
