I am still kind of new to this and am ready to start up my tank and I was wondering if it is better to buy premixed salt water form a lfs or is it better to buy bottled water and instant ocean salt and mix my own I only save about 2 dollars by mixing my own and the premixed water at the lfs is g
- This is why you dont add LFS water to your tank
High nitrate readings from my LFS Especially bad the smaller tank you go Make sure you use your own super fresh saltwater!

Alright so I just got back from my LFS and U put the bag that contains the clown fish in a water pitcher only to keep it in position then I took airline tubing and a valve and its now dripping into the bag

Tomorrow we’re going to the LFS to get the first fish for our son’s tank I’ve read around and found a lot of variance in how long people recommend drip acclimating for, I’ve seen everything from people saying they never do to people saying an hour or more How long would you recommend?
