To apply for retirement, a member must meet the eligibility requirements specified in their particular plan You cannot use unused annual and sick leave to reach eligibility for retirement Also, certain service purchases may not be used to meet retirement eligibility For example, a rank-and-file member hired on or after after July 1, 2015, must have at least five years of service and be 62
