- Review: Leatherman TREAD wearable Multi-Tool (29 tools)
The idea for the TREAD came about following Leatherman’s CEO Ben Rivera being stopped by Disneyland’s security for carrying a Skeletool This started the design process which resulted in the first usable wearable multi-tool which should also be ‘security friendly’ When he returned from his trip, Rivera started wearing a bike chain bracelet to see how it would feel As the idea took
- Review: Leatherman OHT multi-tool (One Handed Tool)
Leatherman’s PST multi-tool was a revolution and I got hold of one just as soon as I could My original PST is shown here next to one of Leatherman’s most recent models (new for 2015) the OHT or One Handed Tool The OHT uses OTF deployed pliers (Out The Front) instead of needing the handles to be turned around, and each and every tool has a thumb hole to allow for one handed opening
- Looking at the leatherman surge. Any other brands have good . . .
Leatherman all the way I have a new surge and I really like it I think it's a great tool If you buy one online, make sure it's the newer model I recently bought two Surge's online and both showed the newer model, with the replaceable cutters, but both were actually the older models Seems like a lot of sellers use the model number on their ads, and apparently the old and new numbers are
- What to use for lubing the joint of Leatherman tools
I use Sentry Solutions Tuf-Glide on my Leatherman tools, just as I do on my knives I use it very sparingly on my Leatherman tools though, especially the main pliers joint, as I like the pliers on my multitools to be very stiff, not floppy, as they often get over time
- Leatherman Rebar - The Sofirn of multitools? - Candle Power Flashlight . . .
The Rebar is the Leatherman I actually carry with me It has the essential tools I need and is light enough to carry My favorite though is the Core which is basically a larger version without the replaceable wire cutters If I need a full tool kit, I have the Surge If I need scissors on a lighter tool, I have a Blast I still have an original
- How much use did you guys get from the Leatherman bit-kit
A Leatherman with the bit kit is better than no tools at all Do you have the new Wave or the original wave? This bit kit only works with the Charge Ti XTi and the new Wave There is a tool adapter for the original Wave though Im the kind of guy who likes to be prepared for stupid little things so I think the bit kit is pretty handy Hope this
- 3 V rechargeable CR123A batteries that are 34mm long? Leatherman Serac . . .
The thing is, even 13 years after it was released, the Leatherman Serac S3 still has a lot to recommend it, so I was hoping that I could either use 16340 batteries or a 3 V regulated rechargeable CR123A
- What type of steel was used on the Leatherman Wave
What kind of steel was used on the Leatherman Wave knife blade? Curiosity is killing the cat Leatherman says "optimal grade of steel" not that it tells me much I'm just wondering how it stacks up against some of the other popular kinds of steel The Charge Ti makes a big deal of its 154CM
