Went to one MBCA event - Legends of the Autobaun (last summer in Carmel, CA) Nice event but since it was cosponsored by BMW and Porche it was hard to measure the contribution of MBCA to the event success In addition, this event is open free of charge to the general public so membership in MBCA is of no consequence What is the opinion today?

In the package, there are membership card, welcoming letter from the president of MBCA, catalog (shopping list), MBCA logo sticker, and most importantly The Star magazine The Star magazine is the best magazine I have ever saw that specializes in Mercedes-Benz So, I strongly recommend MBCA to everyone here who has infinite passion for Mercedes

The two local dealers around here in San Antonio don't seem to ever participate in any MBCA events either, and I as far as I know, neither does Austin It's a shame really, but just about everyone with a Mercedes, regardless of the age of the vehicle, pays someone else to do the work

If you want, call MBCA and ask them for a copy of the mag and decide for yourself I joined in 85, left in 2010, and recently re upped again and still sitting on the fence about next year Their forums and tech artiles on the web site were redone poorly, and are a waste of time, some old time members have resurected the old forum
