The MCX upper can be fitted on a AR lower but it doesn't make use of the buffer tube You cannot use MCX lower with an AR upper If you are looking for an AR platform rifle, look somewhere else I was once toying with the idea of getting a Regulator because of the rifle grip It is one solid choice if you want a featureless rifle
