    The MDN docs can def be a bit dry and overwhelming, especially starting out I would still recommend them though, they are the gold standard in my mind However MDN also has a series of GUIDES, that are extremely well done, easy to follow, and easy to reference back Those in conjunction with the docs are, IMO, the best way to learn web

    MDN will do a lot for you, but it also contains a lot of information that you may never touch It also doesn't encompass everything there is to know about web development So no, it's not enough completely by itself Most of the valuable information out there is in text though, so YouTube Coursera are not a requirement

    if you know that you want to know, mdn will absolutely give you in depth details about how it works if you want to slot that into a wider context and find out all the things you should know so you can go look them up, a course somewhere else might be better
