That assumes real dates dates in column C Real dates will change when you change the cell format mask from dd mm yyyy to mmm-yy If they won't change then select all of column C and run Data, Text to columns, Delimited,

Select the cell or cells that you want to format On the Home tab of the ribbon, click the arrow in the lower right corner of the Number group Select Custom in the Category list Enter mmm-yyyy in the Type box, overwriting whatever it already contained Click OK
