- Setting up a MoCA Network for Tivo | TiVo Community Forum
With the release of the Tivo Mini, Roamio, and BOLT boxes, a lot of people are considering using a MoCA connection rather than ethernet or wireless to communicate between Tivo devices Because a lot of people are new to MoCA, hopefully this quick and dirty setup information will help answer
- Moca again | TiVo Community Forum

- Bolt Mini - MOCA Ethernet setup | TiVo Community Forum
A MoCA network can consist of any mix of MoCA 1 1, standard MoCA 2 0 and extended bonded MoCA 2 0 nodes; many MoCA 1 0 devices will likely bring your MoCA network to its knees, so stick with the later specs MoCA is a point-to-point technology, and two MoCA nodes will communicate with each other at the highest MoCA spec supported by both nodes
- some hints on using Motorola MM1000 and MM1025 MoCA adapters
When I use a different access point connected by MoCA (between the two MM1025 adapters) to Ethernet and then to the cable modem I only get about 120 mb s on Speedtest Perhaps this is because I still have another Roamio (which is MoCA 1 1) sitting out there on MoCA This shouldn't matter since MoCA is theoretically point to point
- Combining MoCA and OTA signal Question w Diagram
A MoCA filter is needed to block the MoCA signals before heading up the antenna coax, and a diplexer would effectively provide the necessary MoCA signal filtering, connected as described above
- Moca and the Tivo Bolt - TiVo Community Forum
The main advantage of using a BOLT as the MoCA bridge, versus a MoCA 1 1 adapter, is the BOLT's MoCA 2 0 spec and Gigabit Ethernet port, ensuring maximum throughput for both BOLTs and any other MoCA 2 0 devices
