Hey everyone - just wanted to make a quick announcement about a new version of ScreenBloom I just released The main reason I'm shilling here is because this version fixes a lot of very common startup bugs that would prevent the program from opening on a good number of installs, especially the Mac version

I found ScreenBloom and it is REALLY REALLY nice The problem is that I think it lags a lot (even with that I had a great experience) How can I adjust it? Run the ScreenBloom app package from a directory you have full permissions over, like the Documents or Desktop folder Run the ScreenBloom program with the sudo command from terminal

I'm guessing Netflix goes into full screen mode, as u billcrystals mentioned ScreenBloom does not work with full screen applications (have a look at "Can I Use ScreenBloom with Videogames?" at the bottom of this page) Have a look at Borderless-Gaming It allows full screen applications to work in a windowed full screen mode, which is what ScreenBloom needs I've used it for ScreenBloom with

But I really like how with screenbloom, you can specify exactly what part of the screen each bulb is assigned too I hope Hue Sync will follow suit in an upcoming update

Quick question about ScreenBloom The idea of this is something I’ve always been interested in, I just have a quick question I understand you have to connect a laptop to your TV, so I’m assuming you can only play stuff on your laptop and not watch normal TV for this to work?

I think the only one in active development is screenbloom although it doesnt work with full screen games - only windowed mode Others are however neither are in active development Also Epic Game lighting didnt work properly for me but that could have been the setup i had with dxtory

Screenbloom pretty laggy Any way to speed it up? I like using Hue Matcher from my phone to let my lights change with whatever is on my TV screen But setting up my phone every time I want to use it, then not being able to use my phone, is a bit of a hassle I tried using ScreenBloom, but its response time seems to be pretty bad
