Maple Tree Inn is getting ready for a January opening Owners Katie and Erich Wennberg told Homewood village board members they are busy working with two consultants to get the restaurant ready for diners They have not announced an official opening date, but promised it would be sometime in mid-January

Just found out Charlie Orr, owner of the Maple Tree Inn passed away Monday night

Charlie Orr is throwing his annual Crawfish Fest Boil on the 3rd of June He's been getting crawfish for the past couple weeks from New Orleans via Southwest Airlines They're on special for $17 00 for 2 pounds I had 2 pounds yesterday and if these are the ones he'll be serving on the 3rd, it'll be well worth the price of $20 all-you-can-eat big crawfish, plus corn potatoes, slaw, etc

IRV 5,658 Post #65 - May 11th, 2007, 2:51 pm likestoeatout, Ron's is excellent is my favorite restaurant to go to in the area I live in Marseilles, and Rons is just a quick 10 min drive In my opinion the best Cajun food in the Chicago area, much better than Heaven on Seven, or Maple Tree Inn

They are always worth a detour, and now their great beers can also be found on tap at the Maple Tree Inn in Blue Island Also, I have not been to this place yet, but the beer aficionados at both Flossmoor Station and Three Floyd's Brewery speak very highly of Shoreline Brewery in Michigan City, Indiana
