Apples and oranges, tho the 2100 would have more dynamic headroom power reserve The 2100 is a stand-alone autoformer power amp, the 4100 a DC coupled power stage portion One might suit a particular speaker better than the other

All McIntosh equipment is built to last, but every year of use can make a difference, so I'd choose the one with the least amount of use age I actually like having a built-in DAC because it allows me to experiment and compare to any other DAC I might have in my system I believe that the MA7900 and MAC6700 have the same DAC which is very good

Depends on condition I have a c26 and I love it I am pairing it with a 2105 when it arrives this weekend They are a good preamp, but can have their issues Check the volume power switch for operation They seem to be a weak link from what I have heard One thing I do like is the vintage beauty of my C26 Good luck with the purchase :thmbsp: J T
