So there's Mconnect Lite, Mconnect Player, Mconnect Player HD, Mconnect Control and Mconnect Control HD What are the differences between these apps? And do any of them support DSD? I tried Mconnect Lite to stream music from the SSD inside my PC (after adding to my Media Monkey library) to my Hi-Fi Rose RS250

Mconnect HD was quite a bit better We rebooted the Mercury to Volumio and re-ran the tests with the same results The reduced sound quality was mostly in the sound stage depth and the expanse of the reverb, the base dynamics, and the overall feel of the music In my home system, I have not done this testing; I have only been using Jplay lately

mconnect is a weird app, looks alright but barely works, at least on Android anyway BubbleUPnP on the other hand is very reliable (don't think it's available for crApple though) Funny, for me it's the exact opposite I actually prefer BubbleUPnP's UI and would use it instead of mconnect if it weren't for all the disconnects

The difference is the mconnect Player controller app gets SU-R1 to stream the audio file tracks directly from Qobuz online server, whereas the BubbleUPnP Server proxies the audio file tracks for the SU-R1 when you are using the OpenHome controller apps, so the SU-R1 is streaming the audio file tracks indirectly from Qobuz's online server, ie, via your Synology NAS
