Difficulty if we are talking Minesweeper online is a combination of how likely you are to beat the board based on mines vs space and a bot playing It has been refined and changed a little over time but yea It has a basis of 50 difficulty for expert as the reference

Most NG games will mark out a safe cell for you to start with Compared to regular minesweeper which is completely randomly generated and only guarentees the first cell you click in not
