Re: Mitered Corners Good technique I did a mitered border last week, did it a different way and it came out OK I think this might be a bit more accurate If you do a multiple fabric mitered border, like our Sexy Hexy gal did, do you apply each border on seperately or make the three fabrics act as one border and then miter? My fabric that I used was a border print, so I didn't have to make it

A mitered corner is, of course, much nicer But if mitered corners are so intimidating as to keep you from finishing a quilt, then this is a perfectly acceptable way to bind I'm not at all unhappy with these bindings on my early quilts I learned to miter my corners, by the way, from Jenny's You Tube videos! I find with heavy fabrics like flannel a walking foot helps ease the fabric evenly otherwise it bunches I usually sew to a 1 4" from the end of the fabric cut my thread, fold the miter and slip it back under the needle and start sewing It gives a clean corner Hope this helps a little

I know how to make the mitered 45 degree corners, but what about the odd angles like what is on this table runner for example? Anybody have a link to instructions on how to do this?

The other day while looking through Pinterest at coin quilts, I saw one where the border was mitered at the corners I liked the way it looked and wondered how this is accomplished?

I'm looking for a very good book or video tutorial or diagram that teaches how to hand sew the binding onto the quilt back - specifically something that shows exactly how to sew the mitered corners down correctly - e g where the needle goes in, comes out, exactly where the stitches go, in that very small part of the quilt
