After reading about the Apple Music (AM) app online, it seems that the AM app cannot bypass the internal mixer for Windows, MacOS, and Android, as there is no exclusive mode available The only way to achieve bit-perfect playback is through an iOS device connected to an external DAC

Does anyone know how the wired connections on the Sennheiser Momentum 4 work? You can connect digitally via USB-C, or via an analogue headphone cable I wondered if the USB-C connection allows for higher bit rates than via bluetooth, and if the analogue connection bypasses any ADC DAC process?

In SUB mode it gives an approximately second order rolloff depending on the setting -6dB points are 45Hz at the lowest setting and 200Hz for the highest setting
- ASIO, WASAPI, Direct Sound. . . is there any difference in sound quality?
WASAPI can be bit perfect and even in shared mode it uses high quality resampler Generally speaking though, when it comes to pure quality, it can't get any better than what exclusive WASAPI can offer Not entirely sure how Direct Sound is handled in Windows 10 but it's either equal to WASAPI shared mode or worse

Also using the DD2 in CD mode sounds much better than Lossless FLAC files being played through it in PC mode So this must be more about the Amp than just the CS43131 built in DAC The DD2 seriously makes a case for CD vs Hi Res streaming on the go Not sure how the Fiio DM13 would fare in such a test - I think that's the main point here
