Mushrooms soak up toxins Pesticides, car pollution, fertilizers, dog urine, and all sorts of pollution can make you very sick! I read the forums on here daily and have read of many people on here getting sick from picking mushrooms in flooded areas, parks, and near railroads!

I have always soaked my fresh morels in salt water, but I know a lot of people are against it If you don't soak them, how do you get all the little buggers and dirt out? Or do you assume they are ok to eat when cooked?

What’s up my people! I can’t believe there isn’t a post in Oklahoma yet! Or even a thread created for 2024! I’ve been super busy and haven’t been able to hop on here!! I’m headed out for my first hunt of the year today! It may be too early, but I will let you guys know how it goes!
