The paperwork on Nurtec says it can take up to 2 hours for relief to start so don't feel bad that it takes a while for you That's why they say take at the first sign of a headache and don't wait for it to turn into a migraine

If the nurtec doesn’t work I usually try Excedrin migraine after and that often gets it down to a manageable level (pain reduction but still experience the dizziness etc) In general I do get relief from the nurtec but wind up with a rebound the next day

Ive taken nurtec for awhile now- basically since it came out Ive found that its ALOT better than the other CGRP blockers, with WAAAAAY less side effects (if any-- Ive tried the shots and had hella side effects, none that I've noticed with the nurtec) I have not taken it with Botox though What i have noticed with Nurtec is that it only works for certain types of migraines I also have MS

Nurtec has been great for me as well Zero side effects, near immediate relief, and even taking it as needed to stop migraines, it made all headaches less frequent for me all month
