Contributing to Neovim feels easier, with a lower barrier to entry though I feel like I am part of the Neovim community, I felt like I was a Vim user Honestly I also find the Neovim community a bit less abrasive, even if I also think there are maybe more technically naive users (see async "drama" on the FP today)

I've tried searching around, but I can't find anything specific on how to open a file I'm very new to neovim and have been going through the tutorial, but I want to create a small text file that I can practice on but idk how to open an existing file or save a file I know the help menu is very useful, but i don't think that I always search for the right thing Any help is appreciated!

Used neovim on PowerShell through Windows Terminal for a couple years before switching to Linux Main difference in my config was for targetting the right shell for my float term and then targetting the right pdf viewer for my vimtex setup for latex editing
