Nipping biting behaviour isn't something Dobes dogs "grow out of" It's a behaviour that's managed and shaped by training, they learn boundaries and what NOT to nip bite

Nipping is one thing but at his age he should not have any bite to his nip He needs to learn to use his mouth by not using force This is where you come in I teach using fun games, actually encouraging mouthing behavior for him to learn what is the correct pressure to use during these nips

Nipping at you needs to be addressed through training, the Dobermann is not a large breed dog, if your afraid, you need a trainer to show you methods for teaching and correcting
