I think this December will be the coldest since 2000 Currently, it's -9 3C and today should bring that to -9 6C or so, but the second half of the month should be milder, so this December will probably end up closer to 2017 than 2000

Midday Temps Brrrrr! 20s here with Full sun, nothing melting When you see street clouds over the Atlantic you know there is a cold airmass happening It's in the teens at 5000' off the coast of Maryland and single digits (F°) off NJ northeastward

There is still no real winter in Europe Even Oslo, Moscow, Helsinki and Stockholm are quite warmer than average these days and without real winter weather
