NUKEMAP is designed first and foremost to run very quickly in a web browser so that puts some limitations on its possible fidelity But as a back-of-the-envelope estimate it should be good-enough for most people's needs

I also am the creator of the NUKEMAP, a mashup nuclear weapons effects simulator, and have just this past week launched NUKEMAP2, which added much more sophisticated effects codes, fallout mapping, and casualty estimates (!!) for the first time, and NUKEMAP3D, which allows you to visualize nuclear explosions using the Google Earth API
