The 4-32 NX8 is a great scope, still no ATACR, but I’d say comparable to the 3 6-18 MK5 when using the 4-32 in 4-20x with some tunneling from like 4 to 4 5ish Up to 24x it still pretty good but not awesome Past 24-32x it’s super touchy and glass really diminishes I’ve never looked through a 5-25 voodoo

I’ve already got 2 Leupold Mark 5 3 6-18x44 scopes for a 7mm STW and 6 5 Creedmoor I am going to add a Mark 5 HD to my Tikka 308 but I’m considering doing a NF NX8 2 5-20x50mm SFP Anyone shot both scopes and have a preference? I’ve heard many say the Leupold Mark 5HD has better low light

Used ATACR 4-16x42 Better than an nx8, about the same price used as an NX8, only 1oz heavier than NX8, and you don’t pay $500 for illumination like Leupold

Have any of you used the NX8 for hunting? If so, I’d love to hear your opinions on it It’s only 28oz, so it’s not overly heavy And Nightforce is a brand that is known for durability, and I think that’s incredibly appealing

I would definitely do the nx8 if between those two But I just finished my lightweight build and it was between nx8 or the March I went with March for less weight That being said I can tell you in my opinion that the 2-2 5 low range is definitely my preference when it come to light weight stalking Much easier to get on game at close range

The smaller size and weight the NX8 offers is really nice, although its 11 ish ounces the NX8 feels very compact and light still with a large mag range Both come with elevation zero stop, throw lever an nice flip caps For me if weight and size matter, save the $ get the NX8 4-32 and rock a solid setup
