Hello, I have had quite a journey regarding medication which they prescribed during the last couple of years for several mental health issues Besides daily medication, I am also being prescribed medication which I can use in, well let us call them “crisis” situations, and be taken “as needed”

Have you had any positive experiences with olanzapine, mainly for the treatment of anxiety? Sometimes taking 5 mg will take the edge off anxiety I wonder if taking 10 mg would increase the effect or make you too tired I think it's commonly prescribed in in the range of 2,5 mg to 20 mg a day

so i found some threads about this but, i was curious to more opinions of peoples experience being on olanzapine and using stims, took me a while but, i realised that i dont rly get the euphoria rush of amphetamine anymore, just the stimulation and enhanced focus (im suspected of having ADD)

Olanzapine, in my opinion one of the crappier antipsychotics, doesn't just antagonize 5HT receptors It's an antihistamine, an antimuscarinic, blocks D1 through 4, plus a few other things and though anxiety per se isn't a common side effect, things like akathisia are, and that's just as bad, especially when you're in the midst of a trip

Despite both olanzapine and haloperidol antagonizing d2 receptors? I notice both olanzapine and clozapine causing a increase in dopamine and are atypical antipsychotics and haloperidol being typical antipsychotic
