Outschool is currently the top platform for variety You can teach whatever you want, and I’ve personally had huge success That said, I am anticipating enrollments to decline as kids go back to school I also taught VIPKID for 3 years which is a whole different sort of online teaching zero lesson planning, but insane hours There are other platforms, but outschool is absolutely the best

I had heard about it from other homeschool parents and recently decided to give it a try My child chose a weekly art class and participated in the first one today The teacher was nice and my kid definitely enjoyed it

You only have to wait 10 minutes and then you can post in the classroom something to the effect of "per Outschool policy, class is canceled if no learners have arrived by 10 minute's past start time Personally, I don't reach out to families beyond that message You can change the enrollment to another class by clicking on the learner I evaluate on a case by case basis if I will offer a transfer

The joy of outschool is we don't have to pigeon hole ourselves to a specific subject or expertise So while in brick and mortar you might be the 8th grade algebra teacher, there is nothing stopping you from being the 3rd basic teacher on outschool
