I stopped to get a PikePass (Oklahoma turnpikes) transponder today in OKC, and learned that they have merged the K-Tag (Kansas Turnpike) systems with PikePass That is, either state's transponders now work in Kansas, Oklahoma and in the DFW metro

It is still worth getting a PikePass or K-Tag transponder, as the rates are cheaper than PlatePay They are free, but you have to load a balance on the account ($20 at last check) that auto-refreshes each time you use that amount in tolls Both transponders work on the Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma systems

PikePass has worked on NTTA toll roads in DFW for nearly 3 years In the article Tim Reilly of CTRMA said the overall goal of every toll agency is accepting a transponder that every other toll road agency uses

I wonder if this affects Oklahoma's PikePass system Previously the OTA PikePass has been inter-operable on Kansas and Dallas-Fort Worth area toll roads, but not inter-operable on Houston area toll roads or other toll roads using the TX Tag system (like in Austin)
