- Kepler says portable PS6 is a 15W SoC on 3nm [UP: runs PS5 . . . - ResetEra
Imagine if by 2028 all those rumored consoles will release A multiplatform game would come out on PS5, PS5 Pro, PS6, PS6 portable, Series S, Series X, Xbox Handheld, New Xbox (how many SKU's this time?), Switch 2 and PC Absolute insanity and there is no way game quality, performance will not be affected on different devices
- What features are you hoping to see on the PS6? - ResetEra
I'd like to see the PS6 have two Wi-Fi chips so one can be used to connect to the internet, and the other can be used for a direct streaming connection to the PS Portal successor (much like the Wii U gamepad) and the PSVR3 for wireless gaming
- Disk lovers, how screwed do you think we are when it comes to PS6 . . .
PS6 will have an optional attachable disc drive day 1 There will be two SKUs One that is digital only and another that is bundled with the drive, so similar to PS5 They won't ever fully go digital (at least not for a long time) because a lot of people in the countries playstation is
- [RUMOR] MILD leak: Magnus Zen 6 APU is early PS6 or Series X2?
Pro PS6 SoC (4k) -> PS6 Pro ($700-$1000) Click to expand Batteries are not to a point where they'd be slapping the same SoC from PS6 into a miniaturized handheld version of PS6 And building a handheld APU first that gets repurposed into a console box is also goofy rather than just doing the Switch thing of having a dock for TV use
- [RUMOR] MILD leak: Magnus Zen 6 APU is early PS6 or Series X2?
They’re certainly coming and third parties will support, but I think almost no one will make PS6 exclusives other than some PS studios We’re gonna be at this Switch 2 PS5 power range for a loooong time
- [RUMOR] MILD leak: Magnus Zen 6 APU is early PS6 or Series X2?
The PS6 SoC has been design complete for over 6 months now and waiting for A0 tape out In between now and then there are hw engineering samples built and tested by Sony and AMD The Magnus APU is likely such a custom engineering sample with the final Zen6 and RDNA UDNA frontends So internally AMD and Sony can test compilers and drivers
- [RUMOR] MILD leak: Magnus Zen 6 APU is early PS6 or Series X2?
Would cost an additional ~$100 over the launch PS5 APU Edit2: After some days of research, we need to consider PS6 SoC is already design complete With this in mind I think Magnus APU is an early engineering hw sample of the PS6 APU An engineering sample with the same Zen6 and RDNA UDNA frontends as we'll see in the final PS6 APU
- Kepler says portable PS6 is a 15W SoC on 3nm [UP: runs PS5 . . . - ResetEra
Kepler says portable PS6 is a 15W SoC on 3nm [UP: runs PS5 games at lower res fps] [UP2: PS5 games don't need patch, but perf maybe not great then]
