The red head went on with a psc pump , lml booster , gas truck cooler and synthetic ps fluid Im now at 112k miles and just swapped the redhead for the hd PSC XD steering gear and have 34 5" tires I still cant turn lock to lock when at a stop but i can turn more than i could with the redhead The trucks steering now consists of Lml hydrobooster

Interesting I found a broken PSC branded steering Box in my area and was curious if it could be repaired and the cost If i couldn't get a new one of these Maybe the gentleman at Blue-Top or (i think people have mentioned Lee's) could work some magic on it Where it is different than OEM, I would call and ask them first

Nothing beats PSC's box and pump The pump puts out higher flow than the GM pump and their box is the only actual upgrade over the OEM box The internals in the PSC box are bigger (shaft, bearings, gears etc)

Who had issues with the PSC 6 bolt box? I have heard the quality issues on the red and blue boxes, not yet on the PSC stuff

PSC makes a heavy duty box They're proud of them, but my buddy that put one on his LMM dually with oversized tires on it says it drives and turns better than stock

If I were you, I'd start with a fluid flush Then go to a pump cooler upgrade If there's no slop in your steering or leaking from the box, I doubt it's the steering box I've went though several boxes and pumps on my LBZ Currently running a blue top that seems to be developing some play in it I've done the LML pump upgrade once and even it died after some years Went with the PSC pump this

It sounds like the PSC box is a good upgrade, but that leads to new pitman arm, which can lead to new center link etc I would rather buy once, cry once, than piece meal parts which might now match work well together Thus, the questions about the different center link designs

Now I'm back on the hunt for a quality box, I'm willing to spend the money on a top-quality product but from what I've seen PSC, Red Head and Blue Top all have mixed reviews Has anyone tried the Dmaxstore box, Part# DMAX-SG-0107? (see link below) It currently only has 4 reviews but all 4 are 5 stars Priced at $589 56 for a new box
