My 2008 KIA Sportage calls for PSF-3 (PSF-111) Power Steering Fluid Apparenty, this specification isn't used anymore and I want to make sure I use an equivalent fluid when I change it out Is there any PSF out there that meets this? The only fluid I've found was this: Lubeguard -

Anyway, I visited my local Hyundai dealer this morning and asked about the PSF-3 for my 2003 Elantra GT PSF-3 have been discontinued and Hyundai now uses PSF-4 for all their vehicles I asked the parts manager if the fluid is really necessary for any Hyundai vehicle He stated that PSF-4 is only purple in color and contain special additives to help with cold power steering noise at start up

Hyundai Kia spec their PSF-III which they want over $22 00 a quart for ! Surely there is a good alternative to the PSF-III , however on-line searches are vague some say a regular power steering fluid meets the requirement and others say a ATF that meets Dexron III will meet the requirement

What's the difference between these two? My 2005 Saab 9-5 seems to take the 11s, but '06 and on Saabs take the 202 Is the 202 a newer, better fluid?

My Hyundai Genesis Coupe calls for Pentosin CHF202 as the OE power steering fluid, but this stuff is getting harder to find and is expensive I tend to like to change out my PSF regularly on all vehicles just because gunk always seems to build up in the reservoir screen mesh I understand this
