- Pheasants in the wild? | Carolina Shooters Forum
I used to see one here and there on Bodie Island and Pea Island and a few other spots on HWY 12 between Nags Head and Buxton Shackleford Banks (Cape Lookout area) also had a population and a few enterprising souls used to hunt them with flushing dogs Many years ago, there was even an article in "Wildlife in NC" about OBX pheasant hunting

I may also consider a pump action or semi auto but I probably won't be doing a lot of hunting and my main purpose would be for skeet and trap so that's why I like the O U since it seems to be better fitted for the sport Maybe in the future I may do some hunting but it'll probably be quail and pheasant and not duck Thanks in advance for the input

- Who Still Carries A Wheelgun? | Carolina Shooters Forum
But to get to the thread question, I have carried revolvers but only in particular situations I carried a Ruger GP100 357 mag 4” holstered as a backup when hunting deer and a SW 651-1 22 mag 4” holstered when on my quad stoking pheasant due to coyotes in the area Both of these will be for sale at some point since I don’t do either anymore
