If it's the VIP I remember, they were and still may be built in northwest LA near the Texas border I bought 1 in the early 80's and had nothing but trouble with it It wasn't a CC but a inboard out board bass boat It had the first 175 Mercursier inboard and would haul ass for its day The boat was 18 ft and ran 65 miles and hour The only problem was the hull The top and bottom on the hull
