They are currently in the process of dismantling the pier, huge crane on a barge doing the work Don’t know what the final disposition is for the project? The ramp is open so shouldn’t affect fishermen but who knows if it’ll remain that way or how long the project will take I’ll post a photo

Seems like pier fishing is the name of the game, generally best done during the winter months, (hint hint), from what I also understand is the more light shining into the water the better therefore I am thinking along ferry docks piers?

I haven't fished live bait from a jetty, but spent lots of time fishing live herring from a pier as a kid The ticket is to cast your lead then attach the bait You'll need to adapt the rig some, but I used a large sand claw or pyramid sinker with a large barrel swivel about four feet up the line Add a bead above the swivel if necessary
