I do not reccomend milking precocious animals If someone DOES milk them, I suggest managing them as a real dairy animal - milking 2+ times per day, teat wash, teat dip, nutritional support all is necessary for a lactating animal Preventing mastitis includes clean dry bedding, adequate post milking dip, and regular milkout

tomatoes, peppers, and potatoes are most likely poisonous plants (the plant material is probably poisonous - the ripened fruit should not be) to cows - they are part of the nightshade family and certainly toxic to smaller mammals, like rabbits A cow is big enough that the toxicity might be much less but still - might want to double check before letting the cow eat the leaves stems

Jonnys Selected Seeds had has a breeding program for "precocious" (sp) yellow gene in pumpkins What this means is that the immature fruit start out yellow rather than green
