I use Pricecharting religiously to give me an idea of prices Much better than having to go through ebay itself, provides a good overview, and includes Heritage Auctions, not just ebay

Use a combined pricecharting and ebay sold listing Pricecharting can get stuff wrong A good example is the game D (PS1 and Sega Saturn) due to the one letter game name pricecharting has the value low (That and to pricecharting loose can mean one disc out of three as well) so Ebay sold listings is the way to go with it I use pricecharting for quick checks most of the time then back it up

You will find the true range on pricecharting is likely a bit wider than that but those are "extremely pricey or cheap" sales so i like to disregard them Make sure to consider item conditioning

The retro store near me bases prices and what they pay for trade ins off of pricecharting, but they sell Mario and other Nintendo stuff a little higher In the end the more rare a game is or more popular means actual sold prices will vary quite a bit

To my knowledge, PriceCharting simply averages sales of cards that fit the bill, such as PSA 10, BGS 9 5 and such Usually pulled from eBay sales So it’s pretty accurate and a good starting point with graded Ungraded is a whole ‘nother thing as there is a very wide spectrum of ungraded but it still takes all the ungraded sales and averages them When buying ungraded, thoroughly check
