Back in the day before all the modern powders, bullets , chronographs etc we experimented with different primers and saw difference in group sizes Options were limited back then with components but various primers made changes

The primers used are as follows: Federal 205 and 205 M, Remington 7 1 2 Bench Rests, CCI BR 4 and 450 magnum and Winchester WSR All groups used five shots at 100 yards

I have always used CCI Primers in all my loading, with a few Federal Primers when I could not find CCI, my question on this thread, is there a big difference between using BR-2 Primers versus regular LR? Those that have used both, did you see a difference in ES or group size? I am curious if

I will say this, the very best primers I have found for consistency are Federal 210's and WLR in standard cases AND magnum cases and, for all magnum cases when using magnum primers only, the WLRM is the most uniform It is also the most uniform if using magnum primers in standard cases, like in the 25-06 Cheers
