In letter from Jane Skaggs from the Arkansas Family Historian Vol 18- there is a family history on George Rains b 1725- who married Rosannah ? whose son Asahel Rains b May 5, 1772 and died 1860 Warren Co Tenn married Lavinia Duncan b 1772-1846- daughter of John Duncan and wife Eleanor (Nelly) - He served as Deputy sheriff under William Smart
