I have a 1999 Ford ranger xlt with a 4 0 liter v6 automatic, with 270,000 miles (she's a trooper) Ok so here is the problem, if my car is running and not moving at all it makes no noise, doesn't matter if it is in park, neutral, reverse, drive or whatever It wont make the squealing noise

Re: 2002 3 0 engine bad hesitation around 4000 rpm when acclerating I'm new here But this is exactly what my Ranger is doing I ran a compression test and found #5 low when warm, so I pulled the heads Found ex valves sucked in 4 cylinders and a crack in #5 Thank you shitty California gas! Still bucking but I needed the valve job anyway
