The long stem just seemed to make the combo too big if that makes sense, that reel sticking out so far just got in the way I fish with gloves a lot, but thinner gloves so I personally don't have a need for the long stem

I am looking at a 13 fishing wicked reel I am thinking of matching it with a 13 fishing 27" lite action rod Does anyone have this set up? And yes I know that 13 fishing makes a wicked ice rod that is probably meant to match up with reel I ran a pfluger president 6920 on it last year but moved that reel to an open water rod that needed a reel

Putting line on inline reel?Your line should not have twisted (much) Are you sure it's not just curly memory from being on the spool? If you're close to an open river go stand on a dock (best) or even the shore and let all your line out downstream with nothing on the end Reel it back holding it between your fingers and all your twist should be gone
