- Best reel for skipping jigs - Fishing Rods, Reels, Line, and Knots . . .
What’s the best reel out there in the $200-300 range for skipping jigs under docks and bushes? I’m not great at the technique currently, so I’d like to get something that will minimize my backlashes Is the curado dc worth it or any of the Daiwa reels?
- The Best Of The Old Ones - Fishing Rods, Reels, Line, and Knots - Bass . . .
Here’s my contribution Both reels were used by my dad (Daiwa) and brother (Ryobi) in Minnesota during our annual fishing vacation when I was much younger, I used a Zebco spin cast back then Those 2 reels caught everything from perch to pike back then? Nowadays they go with me to the pond catching bluegill, crappies and small bass
- Legit Grease and Lube? - Fishing Rods, Reels, Line, and Knots - Bass . . .
ACE-2 is also the best grease i found for the old style drag washers used on daiwa reels from the early 2000s (the ones that feel like compressed felt or something) You use cal's grease on them, and they will stutter like crazy when drag pressure is applied, but with the ACE-2, it's buttery smooth Also great for shimano's dartanium drag washers

- Which reel would you sell? - Fishing Rods, Reels, Line, and Knots . . .
I would keep Shimano reels for lures you just want to cast out and want max distance and aren't pitching or skipping, and Daiwa for anything you pitch or skip Fortunately you have a nice combination here I would keep the Steez A with 16# fluorocarbon for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, swim jigs etc
- New 2025 TATULA X TW 100 - any information? - Fishing Rods, Reels, Line . . .
I was browsing the Daiwa site and saw the new Tatula X coming out in July, which looks to be a replacement for Tatula CT When I compared it to the Tatula TW 100, it looks like it has all of the same tech as the TW 100 except for the body design (more like the SV TW103) and a deeper spool, like t
- Shimano Chronarch are dead - Fishing Rods, Reels, Line, and Knots . . .
What i am referring to are folks that don't consider spending more than $100 on a fishing reel as a waste of money, and those people are pretty vocal across the socials Never do you hear one mention the Chronarch This line of reels have been completely deleted from everyone conversation
