I saw this in a comment on a Youtube video and I wanted to share it in case you were lost like me trying to find an own tempo Rockruff and murdered thousands with no success In West Province Area 3, there is a wild tera encounter with a Rockruff, and that's always guaranteed to have own tempo Fly to Medali and head towards Cascarrafa It is kinda near the great crater Hopes this helps

Rockruff with Own Tempo can be found in Violet (Idk if Rockruff is in Scarlet), but is much rarer than Keen eye and Vital Spirit To save time, I used a Ralts with Trace (copies the foes ability) and ran away from everyone that had the wrong ability

Own Tempo Rockruff works differently from regular rockruff: Own Tempo is considered a 'special ability' for Rockruff and does not count as rockruff's regular or hidden abilities This means that breeding a female with Own Tempo (or a male with Ditto) will result in the offspring with Own Tempo 100% of the time

Rockruff can only evolve into it’s dusk form with the secret ability Own Tempo (not hidden ability, so ability patches won’t work), so it is not recommended to hunt for shiny Rockruff It’s a normal sandwich hunt with a little resetting, but you should still hit odds in 30-40 minutes If you have any questions be free to ask
