I contacted sei and a replacement drive was delivered before I sent the bad one back, no lie He broke it in and it has been free of any problems for three seasons and over 500 hours The three units I have dealt with looked brand new with no pits or corrosion and as long as the break in is followed your good to go

i need to buy a new lower unit for my mercury optimax i've read a lot of good comments about sei aftermarket lowers but on thier website i did not see the option for counter rotating has anyone bought a counter rotating lower unit from them? i tried to call but they close @ 5pm est i will follow up tomorrow but was curious to know now thanks

Haven't heard of them, but they are selling SEI outdrives I have been running an Alpha Gen II SEI drive for about 75 hours now and have been very happy with the unit and the service from the company I couldn't make the math work rebuilding my old drive or purchasing a new or reman unit from Merc, particularly with the 3 year no-fault warranty If you're in the market I would lean towards
