Hello Everyone, I hope someone can help I recently bought a 2003 Z4 3 0i with SMG system The car starts fine When I would drive the car a short distance the car would pop out of gear and not move and the engine would start running rough If I cleared the fault codes it would run

My 04 645 SMG transmission is starting to slip It's especially noticeable when cold, gets better once the car heats up I assume the clutch needs to be replaced? I only have 56,000 miles Could it be something else? Anyone got an idea on cost?

SMG will automatically take the car out of gear and release the clutch if the car doesn't move for a period of time It then quickly puts the car back in gear and opens the clutch when your foot touches the throttle
