The SOCOM seems to average about 2 to 3 MOA for most people using milsurp ammo using the standard synthetic stock Changing the stock is the first thing that I would recommend Regardless of what brand, even a USGI fiberglass stock will usually improve the rifle's accuracy

I am eyeballing a scout Squad and a Socom 16 both used, the socom is $400 more Am I getting a better product for the socom, forging, Machining, specs etc? Or is it just (name) sales gimmick?

As far as what they recommended to suppress my SOCOM: their threaded SOCOM muzzle adapter, their 0 735" suppressor extender (so the suppressor doesn't butt up against the gas plug, unless you're running a shortened plug like nf1e^ here has) and if I wanted, their Warfighter gas system
