- Mixing Shimano SRAM drivetrains : r gravelcycling - Reddit
I know you can't mix a SRAM shifter with a Shimano derailleur (and vice-versa), at least according to Google since each 'click' moves the derailleur a different amount for each manufacturer But what about cassettes and front chainrings? Has anybody successfully used a SRAM cassette with a Shimano derailleur or vice versa?
- How significant is the issue with Sram front derailleurs really . . .
Rear derailleur is good, I've preferred SRAM shift logic already (I have it on my gravel bike), I really like the look of the new force crankset, and the SRAM app is much better than the Shimano one in my experience I was resistant to buying a bike with force - but bought a bike on a great black Friday deal and Ultegra Di2 wasn't an option

- Shimano Deore 6100 series vs SRAM GX Eagle 12 Speed drivetrains - Reddit
Between the Shimano Deore 6100 series vs SRAM GX Eagle 12 Speed drivetrains, which would you all prefer? It seems like most folks prefer Shimano in general It also seems like the Shimano Deore is better than the SX and NX groupsets and is a very capable drive train However, how does it compare to the SRAM GX Eagle series drive train?
- GRX 820 vs. Apex eTap AXS XPLR : r gravelcycling - Reddit
Even as someone that really likes the SRAM AXS stuff, I would not pay $300 more for Apex AXS than GRX 820 You'd be paying more for SRAM's lowest tier electronic groupset than Shimano's highest tier gravel groupset The difference is more, too, because I highly recommend having a second battery, for another $60 A couple things to look at: Is it full GRX 820 or does it have the lower tier
- SRAM Wireless Apex vs Wireless Rival AXS for new bike? : r . . . - Reddit
SRAM Wireless Apex vs Wireless Rival AXS for new bike? Hello I'm buying a new gravel bike and having trouble choosing between the apex and the rival for the wireless groupset There's a $500 difference between builds
- Slow brake lever return : r bikewrench - Reddit
This is a Force D2 AXS brake lever, ask a bike shop to get a torque wrench on the compression nut on the hydo hose at the lever and confirm it's at 8nm SRAM road levers use a stealth-a-majig fitting that includes a spring on a valve where the hose meets the lever, and if that compression nut isn't tight enough, the valve won't be fully open, leading to slow return
