In the Canon forum, I started a post about capturing birds with a 5DSR and a 400mm lens After taking a lot of great advise, I went out to the Sacramento River National Wildlife Refuge last weekend and tried to use your advise in action and I think it worked out quite well I posted on that site, but I think it would be fitting to post the photos here as well If you remember the original post

My wife and I were back at our favorite norcal wildlife spot on Sunday, at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge I go there at least twice every winter and there are always lots of raptors there, as well as millions of geese and ducks

This week I had another chance to go through the Sacramento River National Wildlife Refuge The birds really cleared out this time, about 95% of the geese and 25% of the ducks left, though they might have flown for one of the other complexes to the south
