- West Wight Potter 15 - SailNet Community
I decided I wanted either a Montgomery 17 or a Montgomery 15 Then one night I saw a YouTube video of two guys lifting away on a Montgomery 17 mast and that made my decision for me I purchase a Montgomery 15 and I'm pleased I can launch, rig, sail and retrieve the boat without help from anybody and that's the way I like it

- Norseman 447 - SailNet Community
Sam - on another thread here dated maybe in 2004, it looked as though you had set sail in a Norseman 447 I'm looking at one now and wonder if you could take the time to discuss the pros and cons of the boat, sailing, maintenance, design, and living aboard Thanks Horton
- CL 16 questions - SailNet Community
CL16 should work for you but I think there are better boats out there IMO CL16 has a lot of sail area which means it can be hard to handle for 1 person when wind picks up It's construction design can also be a problem as it can easily get flooded if you bury the rail in a gusty condition I would check craigslist for boats available in your area
- Roller Furler Lubrication? - SailNet Community
When the sail was unfurled, and the line was rolled onto the drum, it made such a thick roll that there wasn't enough room on the drum to hold it all The result was that the mechanism would jam before the sail was completely unfurled I could unfurl the sail the rest of the way if I went forward and turned the drum by hand

- Jammed Furler - SailNet Community
Continue until the sail is unwrapped, then dump the sail and remove 2 If the sail won't unwrap, then pass the sheet in front of the forestay in the same direction as the furler, and manually wrap the sail around the forestay When done, secure the furled sail with some ties On the next calm day, straighten the mess out
